R. Scott Nichols Joins L7 Board
For 19 years, L7 has hosted over 140 youth retreats serving over 3,000 youth with the support of over 900 adult mentor volunteers.
Scott brings a rare combination of lifelong ocean experience and entrepreneurial leadership to L7 Surf at a pivotal time in its growth.
Raised on the California coast, Scott surfed nearly the entire shoreline from a young age and later traveled the world chasing waves, building a deep knowledge of the ocean shaped by decades of experience, discipline, resilience, and respect for its power. That lived experience now becomes a strategic asset as L7 scales its model of ocean-based character development.
Scott’s love for the ocean is rivaled only by his commitment to helping young people find purpose and resilience, using his life and ocean experience to inspire them to follow Christ and push beyond their perceived limits. Scott said, “Being a part of L7 is a dream come true for me because it combines all the things I love. The ocean; the youth; and my love for Jesus Christ.”
